Basic Workout, Christmas obstacles

Although I usually do a workout from Bodyrock.tv, tonight I had too much food on my stomach to do a HIIT workout.  (Luckily, my stomach was full of some healthy foods).  I typically log my workouts to my Pinterest workout board.  While I did not do a Bodyrock workout tonight, I worked out on my own.  I decided to do my most basic workout by doing pushups, crunches and body weight squats.  I started with a circuit of 25 pushups, 30 crunches (mixing up styles) and 25 squats.  I knew that wasn’t enough, so I did the same circuit again.  Finally, I tried one more circuit, but ended up with 25 pushups, 20 side plank lifts and 25 squats.  Not bad for not wanting to workout at all at the beginning.  Let’s talk about my recent motivation.
The time off for Christmas has not been a good thing for me.  Too many days off from working out and too many calories going in.  When I started doing the Bodyrock workouts my motivation was sky high.  I could crank out a complete workout in 15 mins and usually before I was winding down for bed.  I originally thought that being at home would allow me to work out more.  However, I found myself filling the day with other activities, mostly worth while.  I look forward to getting back to a regular routine, including playing roller hockey again.  I haven’t played since starting the Bodyrock workouts.  I’m curious if I’ll notice a difference in how I play hockey.
